About
A special Monday night at Jamboree with Rage Against the Tagine, a London-based jazz fusion ensemble that blends contemporary jazz with the musical traditions of North Africa, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean...
The band combines improvisation, deep grooves, electric textures, and hypnotic melodies to create a distinctive cross-cultural sound, drawing on North African rhythms and modal traditions while embracing the spontaneity and energy of modern jazz. The band has appeared at venues across London and the UK, delivering a sound that is both danceable and adventurous — an original fusion of jazz sophistication and North African musical fire.
The group's line-up features saxophonist Joe Browne, guitarist Christian Miller, bassist Marcus Penrose, and drummer Adam Teixeira, whose credits range throughout the London jazz scene – from Shez Raja and Shirley Smart to Manouche jazz virtuoso Adrien Moingard.
