Our museum doors open this Sunday with a history lesson to end the school holidays.

Tickets available at the door ONLY. Don't spend all day in front of the television watching race cars chase each other around Mt Panarama. Only 20 mins from Penrith, 40 mins from Parramatta and just under an hour from Sydney - race on up to Valley Heights, enjoy learning about the history inside the oldest steam locomotive roundhouse in NSW, before returning home to see the winners cross the finish line. See our two model railways (including an operating model depicting Valley Heights in the 1950s. Then enter the roundhouse and explore the big trains dating from the 1890's to the 1950s. Climb into locomotives and carriages that have stairs leading to open doorways. See our small exhibits and learn about the Fish and the Chips. Find out about the role of the Call Boy. Admire the railway art display. Our cafe will be open to satisfy your taste buds with light refreshments, pies, sausage rolls, ice creams, hot and cold drinks. Before racing home be sure to browse our range of unusual and quirky souvenirs.
