Ann + Rachel Balboa Class

Can't make today's balboa workshop but still want an opportunity to practice balboa? You're in luck! On Wednesday, October 14, Ann Sychterz and Rachel will be teaching a balboa class from 7pm-8pm with an open practice afterwards from 8pm - 8:30pm!!! When: October 14, 7-8pm, practice from 8-8:30pm Cost: $20 for regulars, $10 for students (at the door) Rachel (she/her) fell in love with swing dancing at her very first lesson in 2012, and has since spent countless weekends traveling to learn, compete, and meet new friends from all over the country. Best described as an exuberant, enthusiastic teacher, Rachel loves to share her passion for dance with anyone willing to learn. The joy she gets from dancing is infectious - you won't make it through a song without a smile on your face! Wherever you see her -- you can count on Rachel to bring the energy to the floor! Ann began swing dancing (lindy hop, balboa, solo jazz, collegiate shag, and a hint of blues) in Waterloo, Canada (not far from Toronto). Though now living in the US, she co-founded, organized international workshops, and taught at Swingtime Lausanne in Switzerland which included lindy hop, solo jazz, balboa, and collegiate shag. She holds titles for competitions in balboa and lindy hop from the USA, Canada, France, and Germany. As an academic and a dancer, she finds joy in teaching by breaking down intriguing concepts on partnership and rhythm while keeping a comfy dance.
