Jellyroll! featuring Belinda Blair - Swing Dance Lesson, Dinner & Dance Party

Join us Friday, October 16, with two beginner-friendly dance lessons from Cat’s Corner’s Nathan Dias and friends, followed by live music from Jellyroll featuring Belinda Blair until 10 PM. Whether you’re already a dancer or have never tried swing before, come early for a lesson, grab dinner or a drink, and join us on the dance floor. SCHEDULE 6:30–7 PM — Learn the Shim Sham Learn one of the classic jazz line dances you’ll see swing dancers break into around the world. No partner needed. 7–7:30 PM — Beginning Swing Dance Lesson A quick introduction to partner swing dancing for absolute beginners — or a fun warm-up before the band. No partner or previous experience needed. 7:30–10 PM — Live Music & Dancing with Jellyroll featuring Belinda Blair ABOUT JELLYROLL Born out of the swing revival of the 1990s, Jellyroll mixes swing, jazz and jump blues with fresh arrangements, a driving rhythm section, and plenty of personality from vocalist Belinda Blair. Their repertoire draws from artists including Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway, Big Mama Thornton and other jazz and jump-blues greats, alongside Jellyroll’s own original material. Belinda brings a warm, bluesy voice, sharp phrasing and a playful stage presence that feels right at home in front of a room full of dancers. It’s music with enough grit for the blues, enough bounce for Lindy Hop, and plenty of room to cut loose.
