Music on the Delaware Coffeehouse at the Walton Theatre

Sunday, October 18, 2026, 6-8 p.m. Mosaic Winds Music on the Delaware is pleased to present the ever-popular Mosaic Winds at the Coffeehouse at the Walton Theatre on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. Having opened Music on the Delaware’s first coffeehouse series in 2010, Mosaic Winds quintet has been a frequent guest since then. The group’s performances, always carefully prepared and skillfully executed, continue to delight our coffeehouse audience. A quintet of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn, Mosaic Winds will present the program “Rhythm and Grace.” Five blended harmonies will inspire movement as they perform music of the dance. Flutist Lindsey Williams has directed bands and jazz bands at all levels in the Owego Apalachin Central School District since 2007. She is an active performer and teacher with the Flute Studio of Binghamton. She attended The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, earning her MMED and BM in Flute Performance, summa cum laude. Kathy Karlsen teaches oboe at Binghamton University. She studied music performance at SUNY Potsdam and received a Masters of Music degree from Binghamton University. Kathy has played with the Binghamton Philharmonic, Tri- Cities Opera, Downtown Singers, the Binghamton Community Orchestra and many area ensembles and musicals. Carol Barker, clarinet, retired from teaching instrumental music at Franklin Central Schools. She has a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, and Masters of Music degree from West Chester University. Carol plays in the Binghamton Community Orchestra, the Southern Tier Concert Band, and actively performs in local musical theater. Melinda Lewis teaches the bassoon studio at Binghamton University and home-schools her children. She has degrees in music from the Eastman School of Music and SUNY Fredonia. Melinda performs with a number of ensembles in the Binghamton area, including the Binghamton Community Orchestra, Tri-Cities Opera, and multiple chamber groups. Jeff Barker, horn, retired from teaching geophysics at Binghamton University. His degrees are in physics (UC San Diego) and geophysics (Penn State). Jeff plays in the Binghamton Community Orchestra, the Southern Tier Concert Band, and also local musical theater. The event is free, with desserts and drinks provided. Donations to Music on the Delaware are gratefully accepted. The November 15 Coffeehouse will feature guitarist/singer Jason Starr.
