Shag Pile is back to school - so whether you’re partner dancing for the first time, brushing up your moves, or simply want to start your weekend smiling, we’ve got the night for you! Drop in, warm up, step out, learn moves, tweak technique, and dance your socks off with our friendly crew. Collegiate Shag is a fun, fast swing dance with a smooth learning curve, and each week we start from the basics, so join us for one or two hours as suits. Do come early so you're ready to dance. Our curriculum focuses on the music - and musicians - that inspired the original Shag dancers. No partner required - just rock up. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring flexible flat soled shoes and a water bottle. 6:45 pm: Doors open 7:00 pm: Intro & first hour 8:00 pm: Second hour 9:00 pm: Recap Then it's off to the pub for refreshments and chat.
