Since Spirit de Milan is closed, Swing'n'Milan will take place at SuperStudio Village, located at Via Michele Pericle Negrotto 59, in the Bovisa neighborhood, north Milan, the very same area where Spirit was located. The Millennials’ Orchestra is an Italian orchestra led by clarinettist Lorenzo Baldasso, made up of some of the brightest young jazz musicians in northern Italy. Their mission? To take the repertoire of the great Swing Era orchestras (Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and beyond) and prove that this music has absolutely no intention of getting old. Born to bridge the gap between generations, the Millennials’ Orchestra brings to the stage all the energy and precision of musicians who genuinely love what they play. For seasoned dancers it’s a journey back in time. For those discovering swing for the first time, it’s the best possible introduction to why this music still makes the whole world dance. Founded in 2010 for the London Lindy Exchange, they’ve played in over 25 countries across camps, festivals and dance events of every kind. Dancers around the world love them for one simple reason: they know exactly what a dance floor needs to come alive. That’s not luck — it’s years of experience, deep listening and a genuine passion for swing music in its most authentic form. Their roots go back to the greats of the 1920s, 30s and 40s -Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Fletcher Henderson, Count Basie – and you can hear every single one of them.
