About
We are going back to play ukulele and sing carols on Candy Cane Lane for the 10th year!
This year is a fundraiser for the Ukulele Kids Club during their Ukesgiving campaign to help bring ukuleles to hospitalized children around the US, including right here at Phoenix Children's Hospital. www.theukc.org
We will gather around food, drinks (hot chocolate for kids and hot chocolate with Bailey's or Kahlua for adults) and trivia for prizes as we get ready to carol down “Candy Cane Lane” aka Pinchot Avenue and 28th St. in Phoenix (music books will be provided.)
5:00pm: Eat, drink, meet and greet! There will also be a bit of trivia and prizes!
6:45pm Group picture and car pool to Candy Cane Lane to carol the street! I live 1.25 miles away from Candy Cane Lane
7:00pm - meet at the SW corner of 28th St. and Pinchot to begin walking down the lane.
Bring any instrument. While many of us play ukuleles we have had guitars, drums, egg shakers, tambourines, your singing voice, or just walk with us. We are usually done by 8 or 8:30pm.
Please mark "going" so we have an idea of food and music books to provide. If you mark "maybe", I will not count that to make a book. Thank you!
This is an all ages event and kids are so welcome and encouraged.
Usual songs:
Feliz Navidad, Blue Christmas, Silent Night, Silver Bells, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, Jingle Bells
